Building Great Futures for Englewood

Alarming Community Issues:

In Englewood, young people face BIG challenges... but it doesn’t have to be this way. Youth spend 80% of their time outside school, and that time is invaluable. As the premier summer camp and afterschool program, the Boys & Girls Club has delivered consistent, proven results for at-risk youth in our community for the past 27 years. For nearly 5,000 Englewood kids living below the poverty line, access to our Club could be a game-changer.

The Englewood Club once thrived next to the Gulf Cove United Methodist Church, where young people could play outdoors, learn, and grow; the sky was the limit! Unfortunately, in 2022, Hurricane Ian destroyed our leased space, causing us to relocate to a smaller location with no outdoor space and only two rooms. This move has restricted our activities, member capacity, and overall service to the youth in our program.

Our Solution:

The Boys & Girls Club of Englewood seeks to ensure the expansion and sustainability of Club sites throughout Englewood that are safe, modern, and equipped with the resources necessary to serve, engage, and educate youth. Our new 16,000 sq. ft. Boys & Girls Club campus will be located at 11112 Willmington Blvd., Englewood, FL 34224.

We invite you to join us in our $10M campaign goal so that every child in Englewood can have a Great Future.
