Englewood Capital Campaign

Building Great Futures for Englewood

Alarming Community Issues:

In Englewood, young people face BIG challenges... but it doesn’t have to be this way. Kids spend 80% of their time out of school, and how they spend that time matters. As the premier summer camp and afterschool program, the Boys & Girls Club has delivered consistent, proven results for at-risk youth in our community for the past 26 years. Access to our Club could be life-changing for nearly 5,000 Englewood kids living in poverty.

The Englewood Club used to thrive next to the Gulf Cove United Methodist Church, where youth could play outdoors, learn, and grow; the sky was the limit! However, in 2022, hurricane Ian destroyed our leased space and forced us to move to a new location with no outdoor space and only two small rooms. This temporary space has limited the activities, Club member capacity, and overall ability to serve the youth in our program.

Our Solution:

The Boys & Girls Club of Englewood seeks to ensure the expansion and sustainability of Club sites throughout Englewood that are safe, modern, and equipped with the resources necessary to serve, engage, and educate youth. This 22,000 sq ft Boys & Girls Club campus will be at 11112 Willmington Blvd. Englewood, FL 34224. Please join us in our $9M campaign goal so that every child in Englewood can have a Great Future.
